Hi Mark,

Do you know what version of 97 ecu it is? Should appear in the comms window when you connect.

Thanks

Rico

Hi Mark,

See attached base map. Just convert it to the version of the ECU if they are different.

Best Regards

Rico

Just mapped an STi4 with a 2.5 running the GEMS ecu, how have you guys found idle control for both cold and hot ? Really struggled tbh, and it's still not perfect. Shame there's no real idle control ie adjustable idle target speed based on CTS and then ignition and fuel trims to help idle etc. Unless I'm missing something ? He says with fingers crossed

Hi there,

I'm not sure what version ECU you were using when you mapped the ECU but still there should be some basic idle options as you describe.

For example the calibration attached earlier in this thread includes a table called idle duty table which compares CTS to idle motor percentage change. In the options list there is an "Idle speed" option (which sets target idle speed) as well as options for setting Hi idle modifications/limits.

Most of our ECU's now include spark retard/cut and fuel progressive cuts for variations of target idle speed however these options are not included in the calibration posted above.

Hope this helps

Yeah there are very basic options and I have a stable idle now etc, and I'm sure the more recent ecu's have far better idle control. Just wondered how others had got on.
