I am having trouble connecting to my EVO ACD using GWv4.

It will not connect unless I first connect with GWv3 and then close this down and connect with GWv4.

Any ideas ?

Hi,

Are you running the latest version: 4.0.05, which was recently released?

What kind of port are you using - built in serial port, usb to serial converter or pcmcia serial port?

Thanks

I am currently running 4.0.0 so I will upgrade it and see what happens.

Communicating over a built in serial port.

Hi,

For anyone who is reading this. We update or GWv4 and GWv3 software quite a bit so it is worth making a regular point of updating. As long as you have a dongle all of the updates are free and include Bug fixes and Enhancments/new features that we either think of or in response to feedback from our customers. If anyone does have any suggestions for the new software or ECU features they would like to see please tell us either here or through the contact us section. We are always very Greatfull for feedback.

Thanks
Ed

Just upgraded to 4.0.5 but have the same problem.

I have to initially connect with GWv3 then close this and connect with GWv4.

Once connected with GWv4 I can connect and disconnect as many times as I want.

???????

Hi,

For some reason i think the Communications port is not initialising until GWv3 requests it. When you open GWv4 for the first time before you connect to anything go to ECU - connection setup and check that the correct Comm port (usually Comm 1 for serial) is highlighted in green.

Thanks
